On Tuesday, 20 April, we were pleased to induct 3 new members into the Rotary Club of Jimboomba. Our District Governor, Andy Rajapakse, officiated the evening by welcoming in our new members – Mindi Devine, Taleaha Dempsey and Sonya Thorpe (Thankyou for becoming a part of rotary). The occasion was marked as extra special as Taleaha became the 500th female member within our district.
We are always excited to welcome new members. If you’re not sure what Rotary is about then why not join us at one of our weekly meetings? Weekly meetings are held every Tuesday evening commencing at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. A meal is included and anyone can attend. Meetings are held at Dorrington House, 1 Johanna St. Jimboomba.
We also commemorated Anzac Day. This meeting was the Peter Andrews night and we sat around our fire place – the yarning circle. On this night we remembered Rotarians who have passed. We shared stories of Peter Andrew and Jonn Tiernan two members of the club that contributed so much to the community and to all that knew them.
You are welcome to contact our President David Parkins with any membership queries.
